 1. Take note of your newly generated Bypass code which is good for 24 hours and store it in a safe place. You will use this Bypass code to authenticate to a UAlbany service (i.e. Brightspace, Email etc.).
2. Navigate to the UAlbany service that you are trying to log into. You will be prompted with the UAlbany sign in page. Enter your NetID and Password and select Sign in.
3. Ignore the code presented and select Other Options.
4. Select Bypass code
5. Take your newly generated Bypass Code (from #1 above) and enter it into the Bypass code box and select Verify.
6. Select Yes, this is my device if its your personal device.
7. You will receive a success message and be brought to the UAlbany service you were trying to access.
8. You have now authenticated successfully using your Bypass code which is good for 24 hours. You can repeat this process anytime you forget or misplace your device.
